Will slat panels work in the bathroom?
Although we don’t find slat panels in the bathroom that often, they are still an interesting option. We just have to keep in mind that this room has a specific microclimate and a high humidity level. This means that not every wood slat panels will necessarily work well. However, there are also products that are made of other materials. If someone cares about wood, then they can consider waterproofed oak panels. They will suit both traditional and contemporary interiors. One of the advantages of this solution is that, while they make the arrangement look great, they don’t take up much space. If we opt for wood slat panels for the wall, we can give the interior a warmer feel. It’s usually the wall where they are placed, but they also look good on the ceiling and as a partition. Doors with slat panels will definitely be original.

Slat panels in the shower
One of the unconventional places where decorative slat panels can be put is the inside of the shower unit. Here, it’s better to give up on wood, but there are alternatives that are resistant to water and look great. An example are ceramic slat panels. With them, we can easily separate the bathing area, make the shower unit stand out and increase its decorative value. An incredible effect can be achieved if we use slat panels with led lights.
Which slat panels to choose for the bathroom?
As mentioned earlier, not every type of slat panels is suitable for the bathroom. Below are the options that are used most often in this room.
Wood slat panels
This is the most common and obvious choice. It’s wood that slat panels are associated with. While in other rooms it doesn’t matter much, in the bathroom you need to focus on what is moisture-resistant. Premium-quality panels are made of oak or exotic wood, but are costly and periodic waterproofing is necessary.
Ceramic slat panels
Another interesting option are ceramic slat panels. They come in different colors, so we can easily match them to the decor and dominant colors. As an example, if the bathroom is decorated in modern glam style, where chic and elegance count, a good suggestion would be black slat panels. On the other hand, when it’s decorated in Scandinavian style, or it’s small and the investor would like to optically enlarge it, white panels will work. Apart from wooden and ceramic ones, there are also slat panels made of other materials, as well as slat panel-effect wallpapers.

How much do slat panels cost?
So, we already know what kind of slat panels we can put and where, but how much do they cost? There’s no simple answer, as it depends largely on the material they are made of. Prices for composite or gypsum slat panels will be totally different than those for premium products or exotic wood. It’s best to set a budget right away and verify what options will stay within it.
